Governor Francis Neighborhood Walks: Meet the Neighbors, Exercise, Be Visible!

As mentioned in a previous e-mail, the Farms is again experiencing vandalism in the form of graffiti on public signs and property in the neighborhood. A couple of neighbors led by Maria Tocco and Laura Pisaturo (Apple Tree Lane) are beginning "neighborhood walks".

Starting this Sunday night, June 27th at 7:30 pm neighbors can meet at the Namquid rotary and walk for as long or as short a walk as you would like. You may choose to meet up with this group, or simply make a point to get out after dinner and walk around your block (or maybe more!)

We are letting would-be vandals know that neighbors are outside and watching for anything out of the ordinary in the early evening hours near dusk.

Whether you go out alone, with your spouse, children or pets, remember to stay safe by wearing reflective clothing or carrying a flashlight, and making sure your pets are clearly visible to cars if taking them along for the walk.

Hope to see you outside and walking!

Neighborhood Yard Sale

Thank you to all who donated to the big sister's this year. We had a successful collection.

One small reminder, if you placed signs on telephone poles, please remove them as soon as possible. Once it rains, the signs tend to fall off and become litter that no one wants to see or have in their yard.

Thank you to our neighborhood police officers who took the time to make a presence in the area during the yard sale. They helped to keep speed slow and watch for anything suspicious.

Neighborhood Updates!

I do have some platters, bowls, and dishes that were left behind from the Pumpkin Patch and Fall Fest. So, if you are missing anything, send an email to
neighbor@mygfna.com and we will get your things returned to you.
